About Us
I am Borde Du Lac Lodge. I have over one-quarter mile of shoreline and one hundred acres of land area at the northwest part of Benedict Lake in the beautiful Paul Bunyan State Forest. My land area consists of tall pine, spruce, balsam and white birch trees. My cottage areas are mowed and kept clean and neat. In addition to all the lovely trees, I have many varieties of wild flowers, and in their season, wild berries for your picking and eating pleasure.

My lake, Benedict Lake, is small and delightful. My lake is fed by many springs; its waters are always clean and clear. My shoreline has a very safe sandy beach with a gradual slope enabling you to enjoy your water activities. My lake is always suitable for water skiing. I have a raft for swimmers and six docks so your boat is near your cottage. My lake’s water flows by boatable channel into Leech Lake, enabling you to explore, fish and sightsee over one-hundred twenty thousand acres of water and over six-hundred fifty miles of shoreline. You may fish for and expect to catch walleye, northern pike, black bass, panfish and maybe a trophy size musky! My lake’s ducks and loons will entertain you daily and you may be rewarded by the displays of the playful otters or the industrious beavers.

My cottages are clean, have excellent king or queen size beds, color TV, complete kitchens including microwave ovens, and are ultra-modern in livability, rustic in décor, fully carpeted and spacious, about seventy-five feet from the lakeshore and well spaced from each other. Your picture windows afford a perfect view of the lake.

Outside your cottage you will find a BBQ grill, a picnic table, lawn chairs, a freezer for your use, coin-op Laundromat and a unique fish cleaning house. On Tuesday nights in season, we have an all-camp potluck picnic supper.
My recreation building contains a pay telephone, piano, pinball, video games, pool table, library, card tables, and satellite TV. Outside we offer horseshoes, volleyball, basketball, swings, softball, hiking trails, water bike, kayaks, canoe, and boat launching ramp.

I allow pets, for a charge. I carry a complete line of live bait. The town of Benedict is only a mile away. It consists of a grocery store, a post office and hardware store. They carry a complete line of staples. My boats are very seaworthy and if you do not bring your own, you get one at no charge with cottage rental. I have outboard motors for rent from electric to 125 H.P. I have two gas pumps, one with premium pre-mixed and one with premium regular. Churches of all faiths are nearby as are many sightseeing trips by car. Itasca Park, the origin of the Mississippi River is only twenty-five miles away. The city of Bemidji is twenty-eight miles. You may go by water or highway to a number of very fine dining out places nearby. The city of Walker is eight miles away and offers a complete line of goods and services. Golf courses, public tennis courts and airport are also nearby.

I accommodate hunters for deer, grouse and ducks. Look for our rate sheet and newsletter included with this mailing.
I have gone to great length to tell you about myself because I want you to know the details. The only way you will know for sure is to see me yourself, which I cordially invite you to do at anytime.

We at the secluded, peaceful and beautiful Borde Du Lac Lodge want you to be our guest. Drop us a line or give us a call.

Sincerely,
Borde Du Lac Lodge
